Mulch is an important component to a healthy and beautiful landscape. It insulates and protects the soil’s surface, conserves moisture, reduces soil temperature fluctuations, helps control weeds, reduces soil loss from wind and water, and helps give the landscape a more “finished” look.
There are basically two types of mulch – organic and inorganic. Sweeney’s can work with you to help determine which type of mulch works best for you. From beds to tree rings to play areas to walk ways, mulch has many uses in the landscape.
To help get the most out of your mulching project, we recommend cleaning up the edges (i.e. spade edge, repair disrupted edging materials, etc.), removing weeds and debris, and to further mitigate future weed growth, we offer a pre-emergent herbicide application.
