Just in time for Halloween
Trees don their masquerade
Some are cloaked in gold and green
A colorful charade.
Others expose their naked shapes
Twisted, gnarled and bare
Skeletal, haunting remains
The spirit of the holiday
is carried through the trees
well costumed, so befittingly
So as you brave all hallow’s eve
A scary night ‘tis true
Remember to look to the trees
who celebrate with you.
