Monday’s snow was, needless to say, needless and trite. Sure, it didn’t impose much damage to the landscape as it did my psyche, but it was exactly what I didn’t need or want. One step forward, two steps back. This, my friends, is Spring.
The landscape still seems groggy as if yet to awaken from its long winter nap. I suspect the snooze button has seen quite a bit of action since the official start of Spring. It’s hard to believe Easter will arrive without so much as a daffodil or tulip to fuss over. Patience is wearing thin, and Spring is no longer a season but rather a quest.
Rest assured Mother Nature will take her due course – grass will grow, flowers will bloom, and Sweeney’s will be there to tame and nurture her prowess under the experienced and trusted hands of our talented crews. We welcome back Rogelio, Gaspar, Jose, Manuel, Juan, and Fernando, all of whom have been part of the Sweeney family for over five years, and we have a few new faces as well. Sweeney’s would like to welcome George and Manuel Jr. We consider them family as we do our business partners, and our valued clients. We hope over the coming weeks and months that you get to know our crew members as they get to know you and your property. For those of you who have weekly or bi-weekly scheduled mowing/maintenance services, you’ll see the same faces from week to week and month to month, and if you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll probably recognize their faces. Effective, successful landscaping is a team effort, and we strive to provide you with the most comprehensive, professional experience that exceeds your expectations. We’re here to proudly serve you and are grateful to have you as part of the Sweeney family.
And from our family to yours, we wish you a Happy Easter and a successful egg hunt!
“See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices.”
-Charles Kingsley
Best wishes,
